Heart of the Dragon Festival, 4th July 2009

Our involvement in this year's Newcastle Emlyn Dragon Festival was a great success, and everyone who turned up at the theatre had a wonderful time.

Many thanks to Carol and Steve for making such a wonderful dragon, and thanks to Branwen for providing such a realistic sound to go with the smoke! Although I think probably David was involved in quite a few of the sound effects, as well as bringing in the public to join in on the microphone!

There was a happy atmosphere inside the theatre, and lots of people came to dress up in various costumes, including Jack and Katy from Attic Juniors, who used their obvious acting skills to spontaneously entertain the public from the balcony!

The raffle and Egg hunt, which Jean organised, were both very popular, and lots of youngsters had tattoos of dragons, courtesy of Julie, and we had had several enquiries about new membership.

All in all, a very enjoyable day, and many thanks to everyone who came to help, join in and have fun!
